Kristina Fain, D.O. of AllCare Primary & Immediate Care appeared as a featured guest on “The Weekly Check-Up” on March 15, 2026. The show airs Sundays at 3 p.m. on 95.5 FM WSB and is hosted by Dr. Bruce Feinberg.
During the episode, Dr. Fain and Dr. Feinberg explored what it means to be well. Rather than focusing on sickness, they discussed everyday signs of being healthy such as quality sleep, feeling refreshed after waking up, and normal bodily functions. They emphasized the importance of well care visits and a proactive approach to maintaining health, especially for younger generations who often only seek care when they are sick.
Dr. Fain also shared her personal journey into medicine. Originally from Fayetteville, Georgia, she has long been interested in science and healthcare. She attended the University of Georgia, completed a master’s in biomedical sciences at the University of South Carolina, and earned her medical degree from the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine. After finishing her family medicine residency in Savannah, she joined AllCare early on–when it only had two locations! Dr. Fain currently practices at AllCare’s Smyrna office.
The pair of doctors also discussed several patient stores which underscored the value of primary care. One patient, a 40-year-old man with blurry vision, had not seen a doctor in over a decade and was ultimately diagnosed with diabetes. Another patient, a 30-year-old man with abdominal pain, was found to have an enlarged liver in need of treatment.
In response to caller questions, Dr. Fain addressed the management of chronic conditions, emphasizing that even when a cure isn’t possible, physicians can help patients improve the quality of life through partnership and lifestyle changes. She also spoke about the importance of clear communication, especially for patients navigating complex conditions like hypothyroidism, and encouraged finding providers who serve as teammates in your care.
