Born in New York and raised in Coral Springs, Florida, Stephanie Backer developed a passion for healthcare through her interest in helping others and making a meaningful difference in people’s lives. She was drawn to nursing because it combines compassion with critical thinking, allowing providers to deliver both thoughtful clinical care and genuine support to patients.
Stephanie earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida. She then pursued nursing, earning her Associate of Science in Nursing from Keiser University in West Palm Beach, Florida, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. She later completed both her Master of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice degrees at South University in Savannah, Georgia, specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Stephanie has clinical experience in primary care, urgent care/walk-in clinics, and employee health, which has allowed her to care for patients across a variety of healthcare settings.
Outside of work, Stephanie values spending time with her family in South Florida and is a proud aunt to two nieces and one nephew. Earlier in life, she spent 12 years studying professional dance at Mrs. P’s Dance and Acrobatics Studio—an experience she considers some of the best years of her life. She brings the same dedication and passion to her patient care, striving to make every individual feel supported and valued throughout their healthcare journey.
