Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Dr. Monica Williams brings decades of compassionate, community-focused care to her patients. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Tuskegee University in Alabama and her Doctor of Medicine from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee, where she was a National Health Service Corps Scholarship recipient. She went on to complete her Family Medicine Residency at the University of Texas at Houston.
Dr. Williams has served diverse patient populations across both community health centers and private practice settings. Her extensive background in disease prevention, chronic disease management, adolescent health, and integrative therapies has led to leadership roles as Chief Medical Officer and Medical Director throughout the Southern Region. Inspired by early experiences of health disparities in her own family, she is deeply committed to closing gaps in care and empowering patients to take charge of their health.
Outside of work, Dr. Williams enjoys all forms of art, including painting, drawing, and photography. She loves spending time outdoors gardening, traveling, and enjoying water sports. A self-proclaimed foodie, she also enjoys converting traditional recipes into healthier versions. She is the proud mother of two amazing adult children and a devoted dog mom. Dr. Williams is passionate about community education and was honored as Primary Care Teacher of the Year for Queensland University in Australia while serving as a preceptor at Ochsner.
