Born in Atlanta and raised in Fayetteville, Georgia, Dr. Kristina Fain has always been passionate about science, medicine, and making a difference in her community. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Science with a minor in Spanish from the University of Georgia in Athens. She went on to complete her Master of Science in Medical Sciences at the University of South Florida Health Morsani College of Medicine and earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Fain completed her Family Medicine Residency at Memorial Health University Medical Center.
Dr. Fain chose a career in medicine to make her family proud and to help create representation for young minorities aspiring to join the medical field. She found her calling in family medicine during her clinical rotations, where she discovered that the specialty allowed her to combine her love for both inpatient and outpatient care while treating patients of all ages and conditions.
Outside of work, Dr. Fain enjoys running, traveling, playing soccer, karaoke, and spending time with her husband, two sons, and their dog. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP).
