Lauren Schwartz, F.N.P.-C. of AllCare Primary & Immediate Care appeared as a featured guest on “The Weekly Check-Up” on December 21, 2025. The show airs Sundays at 3 p.m. on 95.5 FM WSB Radio and is hosted by Dr. Bruce Feinberg.
During the episode, Schwartz discussed the importance of family practice, believing that “Primary care is the cornerstone of health promotion and disease prevention.” A family nurse practitioner with 20 years of experience, she currently practices at AllCare’s Dallas location.
Schwartz shared her path into healthcare, explaining that she grew up in Rock Hill, South Carolina, studied biology as an undergraduate, and was inspired by her mother, who was a nurse. After working as a nurse for five years, she became a family medicine nurse practitioner and said she values the long-term relationships built through patient care.
Weight management—one of Schwartz’s specializations—was another key topic. She explained that weight management is not just about medication and that obesity is increasingly recognized as a disease. Schwartz emphasized that the weight loss medications are tools, describing them as “training wheels,” and that lifestyle changes are necessary to maintain results and stay healthy.
The episode also touched on preventive care, including routine physicals, and answered a caller’s question about her liver CAT scan results and what steps to take next.
AllCare has 15 locations throughout the Atlanta area and offers same-day, after-hour and walk-in appointments.
